MS Dhoni Shares The Letter PM Narendra Modi Wrote To Him After His Retirement

On the occasion of India’s Independence Day, the legendary Indian keeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni broke millions of hearts around the world after he announced his retirement from international cricket in his typical ‘Mahi’ way. There was no big announcement, no press releases, just a montage video of himself with his favorite Hindi song running in the background.
The montage video featured his journey with the Indian cricket team. Sharing the video, he declared himself retired. He announced:
“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.”

The moment he announced his retirement, fans and cricketers are pouring heartfelt tributes for the legendary cricketer.
Now after five days, MS Dhoni has shared the letter he received from Prime Minister after his retirement. In the letter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the cricketer and the soldier he is.
“You have been one of the important illustrations of the spirit of new India, where family name does not make young people’s destiny but they make their own names and their own destinies,” wrote the PM in his letter.
“Where we come from does not matter as long as we know where we are headed — this is the spirit that you have exuded and inspired many youngsters with,” he said.
He also shared some of the most memorable moments of MS Dhoni that took the Indian cricket team to new heights. He congratulated MS Dhoni over his glorious career and wished him luck for his future. He also sent good wishes for Ziva and Sakshi Dhoni.
MS Dhoni took to his Twitter and shared the pictures of the letter he received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his sentiments regarding the same. In his Tweet, MS Dhoni wrote that how ‘an artist, soldier, and a sportsperson’ crave for ‘appreciation’. He further thanked PM Modi for his good wishes and appreciation. He wrote:
“An Artist,Soldier and Sportsperson what they crave for is appreciation, that their hard work and sacrifice is getting noticed and appreciated by everyone.thanks PM @narendramodi for your appreciation and good wishes.”

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni will soon be seen creating magic on-field as he will lead his team Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, which will kickstart from 19th September.
