Last night, Chennai Super Kings lost their first match of this league to Kings XI Punjab. After a nail biting ending, Kings XI Punjab won the match beating Chennai Super Kings.
The match was held at Mohali in Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, it was the home game for Kings XI Punjab and that’s why the level of excitement in the audience present at the ground was reaching skies.
And the winning team, KXIP didn’t disappoint their fans. However the fans of CSK were left heartbroken not because of the match but because of many efforts made by Dhoni to win the match till the last ball.
But it was the last innings when Dhoni made the match more interesting with his brilliant display of batting skills. The energy at the stadium was something to witness as it was everyone’s favorite player in the yellow jersey in full on power packed mode on the ground. What a guy, what a performance.
Dhoni scored 79 runs in 44 balls with the strike rate of 179. He made the bowl reach on every corner of the ground with heights with his thrilling fours(6) and sixes(5).
He made everyone feel nostalgic, he made everyone remember all those times when he used to set the ground on fire with his impeccable performance. His winning shots are still imprinted in everyone’s mind. Every single match used to end with his winning six.
However, this time the team wasn’t able to win the match but he won everyone’s heart with his performance. The ‘six’ that was smashed by him at the last ball made everyone a bit emotional as he turned back the clock.
