Video: The MS Dhoni-Virat Kohli DRS Saga Continues

There seems to be certain concern about the on field smartness of Virat Kohli, the Indian Captain to play wisely with reviews. As India and New Zealand took to the field to play the second T20 of the 3 Match series, Kiwis won the toss and decided to give a total to chase to the men in blue.

Mohammed Siraj, the IPL talent got his first international cap but he went for plenty. He conceded 53 in his quota of four overs though he picked his first wicket in his first game. New Zealand gave India a handsome total of 197 to chase.

The story of confused review As we were taking about Virat Kohli not doing well on reviews, a similar incident happened in the 12th over when Chahal was bowling. Kane Williamson thought of going after Chahal and tried a scoop. He tried to scoop it over fine leg but failed to do so and ended up lobbying the ball in the air.

What followed was a witty trademark catch by Mahi. Kohli and Chahal were totally persuaded to go for the review.

But MS Dhoni was however clueless about it as his view was blocked by the batsman. So, India decided to go for the review anyway. Later the review showed that there was no knick from Williamson’s bat and India ended up losing a review.

Well, the review wasn’t the only thing India lost! Chasing a target of 197 India also lost the match by a big margin of 40 runs.

India in its share of 20 overs could only manage 157. Kohli topped the Indian scoreboard with a score of 65 while Dhoni played a knock of 49 after openers left early.

Now both the teams are equally poised in the series and now just like the ODI series the third game of this series too would be a perfect decider. Today New Zealand showed as to why they are the top ranked team in T20s.
