MS Dhoni’s Childhood Friend Revealed The Retirement Plans Of MS Dhoni

Fans across the nation were eagerly waiting for the return of MS Dhoni in the action, however, with the suspension of the much-awaited season of the Indian Premier League has led to the postponement of MS Dhoni’s return to the cricket world.

The suspension of IPL 2020 has once again sparked the debate on MS Dhoni’s cricketing career. From fans to cricketers around the world, everyone is debating over the retirement of the former Indian skipper and whether he should be the part of the T20 World Cup playing squad.




MS Dhoni’s Childhood Friend Revealed The Retirement Plans Of MS Dhoni

Clearing the air about the same, recently in an interview, MS Dhoni’s childhood friend and manager, Mihir Diwakar, stated that the Ranchi-based wicket-keeper batsman has not been thinking about retirement during the lockdown period.

During the interview, Mihir revealed how MS Dhoni was determined to play in the IPL 2020 before the pandemic forced BCCI to suspend it. He also shared details of the current situation surrounding MS Dhoni as well as his future on the cricket field. He revealed:




“I spoke to him past midnight. It was a normal business talk. As usual, Dhoni would be at home with his family, with a quiet birthday celebration. Being friends, we don’t talk about his cricket. But looking at him, he’s not all thinking about retirement.”

He added:

“He is very determined to play the IPL. He has worked really hard for this. If you remember, he was there in Chennai one month in advance before everything was shut down.”

Lastly, Mihir claimed how the current situation in the world could make a big impact on MS Dhoni’s future. He said:

“He has maintained his fitness regimen at his farmhouse and will start practice after the lockdown is lifted. Everything now depends on how fast the situation returns to normalcy.”
