The chief of India’s selection panel, MSK Prasad has hit out hard at the former Indian wicketkeeper, Farokh Engineer, who created a storm with his derogatory statements slamming the Indian selection committee on Thursday.

Farokh Engineer pointed fingers at the credibility of the MSK Prasad led-selectors committee and called the committee as the “Mickey Mouse Selection Committee”. The veteran cricketer also sensationalized his statements by claiming that he saw the Indian selectors serving tea to Anushka Sharma during a World Cup match.

In a reply to his statements, MSK Prasad has now lashed out on the former Indian cricketer saying that the latter derived ‘sadistic pleasure out of indulging in petty talks. He also claimed that Farokh’s allegations are false. He said:

“I feel sad for someone deriving sadistic pleasure out of indulging in petty talk, thereby demeaning & disrespecting the selectors and wife of Indian captain through false and frivolous allegations,”

He added:

“Let’s not forget that this selection committee has been appointed by BCCI through a proper process in an AGM,”

MSK Prasad further said that Engineer should behave maturely and enjoy the progress of the sport. He said:

“Someone at the age of 82 should reflect maturity and enjoy the progress of Indian cricket from his time to the current day.”
