Murali Kartik Backs MS Dhoni After He Faces Criticism On Social Media

Lately, MS Dhoni faced a lot of criticism on social media for his slow performance in the second match of the One Day Internationals that were held at the Mecca of  cricket, Lord’s stadium against England.

While the England cricket team performed amazingly well in all the three formats of the game, the Indian batsmen failed to chase the target of 322 runs.

The top batting order of Indian cricket team failed to perform at the match as the wickets were bundled up very quickly. While the openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan went back to pavilion early, without scoring much, on the other hand, the young hitter, KL Rahul was sent back to pavilion with 0 runs.The skipper of Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli scored 45 runs. Suresh Raina and Hardik Pandya too went back to pavilion got out in quick succession.

However, the social media is busy in criticizing MS Dhoni for his slow performance, as he scored 37 runs but in 59 balls. He was criticized by many.

Murali Kartik, the former Indian cricketer, is associated as an expert for the series lauded Dhoni for achieving the 10000 -run mark in the ODIs, that was achieved on the same day. MS Dhoni became the fourth Indian cricket to achieve that mark. Also, e became the only lower order batsman to reach the 10000-run landmark in ODIs and the fifth fastest cricketer to achieve that mark.
