India’s middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer recently faced his “WORST NIGHTMARE” as he continues on his recovery from a hip injury ahead of the upcoming 4 Test series, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, against Australia.

Currently out of action because of a back injury, Shreyas Iyer underwent Acupressure treatment on his back and hip as the batsman is leaving no stone unturned in a bid to be fit in time for the Test against Australia, which is not only important for India as a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final is at stake, but also is crucial for Shreyas Iyer who has only recently cemented his place in the middle-order.

Shreyas Iyer suffered this injury while playing against Sri Lanka and consequently missed the ODI and T20I series vs New Zealand.

He is currently recovering at the at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, from where he posted a story on his Instagram handle with a photo of him getting Acupressure treatment for the injury.

During the treatment, the doctor can be seen pushing his finger on the painful spot.
