MS Dhoni is one of the greatest and most successful skippers in the world. Recently, Dhoni once again showed why he is hailed as a GOAT skipper as he once again guided his team Chennai Super Kings to their 4th title win in the just-concluded season of the IPL. Though he guided his team to win the title and his team outperformed the rest of the teams throughout the tournament,  questions continue to circle around his future in IPL.

Though the CSK skipper didn’t have a great season with the bat but was brilliant once again as a skipper as he marshaled his Yellow Army to perfection.

India Cements Ltd (ICL) vice-chairman and managing director N Srinivasan, who is also the owner of CSK, was recently asked about MS Dhoni’s future with Chennai Super Kings. Responding to this, Srinivasan said that there is no CSK with Dhoni. He added that there is no Dhoni without CSK. He said:

“Dhoni is part and parcel of CSK, Chennai and Tamil Nadu. There is no CSK without Dhoni and there is no Dhoni without CSK,”

MSD is associated with Chennai Super Kings since its inception. Mr. Srinivasan was also asked about his plans on retaining Dhoni and other CSK players in the mega auctions before IPL 2022. Responding to this, he said that the retention policy is yet to be announced.
