In the last 10 days or so, every possible has been made to spread awareness about the coronavirus and tell the people of India to stay inside their houses.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been very active on social media and he is making every possible effort to spread awareness. Celebrities from all sects of the society have come forward in numbers to help the Government of India in these tough times and spread awareness using their social media presence.

Every day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares tweets, pictures, and videos of celebrities to spread the word and recently, he thanked India’s swashbuckling batsman Rohit Sharma for his efforts in spreading the awareness.

Rohit Sharma has been very active on his social media in order to help the government. He has made videos, shared messages and also made a donation to the PM CARES Fund. Here’s the video he made to spread awareness:

He also announced his contribution:

On 31st March 2020, PM Narendra Modi thanked Rohit Sharma and a few other sportspersons for their contribution at the forefront of the battle to defeat COVID-19.

“I am very happy that our hardworking sportspersons are at the forefront of the battle to defeat COVID-19. I would like to thank @sharad_kumar01, @ImRo45, @singhesha10, @M_Raj03 for their contribution to PM-CARES.#IndiaFightsCorona,” PM Modi tweeted.

Rohit Sharma made a contribution of INR 45 lakhs to the PM-CARES fund. He also made another contribution of INR 35 Lakhs in other relief funds.
