Batting superstar Virat Kohli loves playing at the Wankhede Stadium and he was once again expected to go big in the ongoing game number 54 of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Tuesday, however, Mumbai Indians got Kohli out in the fifth ball of the match.
Virat Kohli Got Out Cheaply
The former RCB skipper has been in stunning form in the ongoing season, having amassed 419 runs in 10 games with six fifty-plus scores, the most in 2023. However, he was denied a big score in the crucial game at the Wankhede Stadium. MI skipper Rohit Sharma’s ploy with the left-arm pacer and Ishan Kishan’s clever advice for DRS helped MI get rid of the big fish.
Kohli has been dismissed twice before by the left-arm pace – by Trent Boult in RR vs RCB and Akash Singh in CSK vs RCB, thus, Rohit used his weakness against left-arm pace as his weapon.
The fans of the batting maestro were left disappointed with him getting out cheaply.
Naveen-ul-Haq Took A Dig At Kohli
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants’ Naveen-ul-Haq has once again started the war of words, and this time via his social media account. After Virat Kohli was dismissed, Naveen, who was involved in a verbal spat with Kohli, posted a cryptic story on his Instagram.
Looks like Naveen is supporting Mumbai Indians tonight as he was seen celebrating the fall of RCB’s first wicket.
