Famous Nepalese film actress and model Barsha Siwakoti made her appearance at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy earlier this week in India’s match against Nepal in the Asia Cup 2023.

Barsha Siwakoti, known for her work in Pashupati Prasad, Bhaire, and most recently in Pardeshi 2, was in Pallekele to support the Nepal team, but she also cheered for her favorite Indian player that is Virat Kohli.

Ahead of the start of the match, outside the stadium, some fans recognized her, and she had a short interview with RevSportz wherein she was asked about her favorite player. First, she said that she follows both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma; when insisted on picking only one Indian cricketer, Barsha Siwakoti named Virat Kohli as her favorite Indian player.

“I love him as a player,” Siwakoti said, “Virat’s dedication to the game, his consistency, and his never-give-up attitude are truly inspiring. He has set incredibly high standards in modern cricket, and his aggressive yet stylish approach to batting is a joy to watch.”

This further showed the love and craze among fans for Virat Kohli outside India.

India thrash Nepal by 10 wickets to seal Super 4 match with Pakistan

It may not have been as comfortable a win as India would have wanted – Nepal scored 230 runs with runs from the top and lower order and gave a wake-up call to the Indian bowlers – but a 10-wicket win does sound a thumping one.

Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 74*(59) and 67*(62) respectively to gun down the DLS adjusted target of 145 in 20.1 overs in the chase that was shortened to 23 overs for India after India had bowled Nepal out for 230. Rohit Sharma was named as the Man of the Match. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj took three wickets each.

With this win, India joined Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 round. India will meet Pakistan in Colombo on September 10.
