Cricket is one of the most loved sports in India. It is also one of the richest ones as well, with players earning millions and billions. Apart from their huge salaries, these cricketers earn a huge amount of money from brand endorsements, IPL, etc.
However, much to everyone’s surprise the richest cricketer is neither Sachin Tendulkar nor the legendary skipper MS Dhoni.
Who is the richest Indian cricketer?
Well, Aryaman Birla, who is the son of business tycoon Kumar Mangalam Birla is the richest cricketer to have ever played the game for his country. Aryaman has a net worth of INR 70,000 crores.
Notably, Aryaman’s net worth is way more than that of other Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar – 1090 crores, MS Dhoni – 826 crores, and Virat Kohli – 688 crores.

Though people are aware that Aryaman was in line to take over the multi-million dollar Aditya Birla Group, however, not many know that Aryaman was once the rising star in cricket as well. He chose an extremely difficult path for himself.
It was during the 2017-2018 Ranji Trophy Season when Aryaman made his first class debut for Madhya Pradesh. He also has a century under his name, that came in November 2018 against Bengal.
“Someone might say there’s pressure because of your name. Of course, there’s a legacy that I would love to build on in my own way. But when you’re playing you just keep your focus on the ball. It’s the 22 yards that counts. It’s a great responsibility for me and I would love to take it forward,” quoted Aryaman in conversation with Economic Times after his century.
So far, Aryaman has scored 414 runs in 9 games he played in first-class cricket so far. He has also played in IPL for Rajasthan Royals however never got the opportunity to play a match for the franchise.
In a shocking turn of events, Aryaman, who is only 23-years-old, decided to end his cricketing career. He is currently pursuing a commerce degree and is expected to focus on his business career from now on.
