Now Twitterati Are Trolling Anushka Sharma For Her Post

On Thursday, the former Indian wicketkeeper, Farookh Engineer created a storm with his derogatory statements slamming the Indian selection committee. Lashing out at the MSK Prasad led committee, Farookh Engineer pointed fingers at the credibility of the selectors and called the committee as the “Mickey Mouse Selection Committee”.

The veteran cricketer also sensationalized his statements by claiming that he saw the Indian selectors serving tea to Anushka Sharma during a World Cup match.

Later in the day, Anushka Sharma took to Twitter and lashed out at the former cricketer for his statements. In her hard-hitting post, Anushka made it clear that she only attended one match during the World Cup and was seated in the family box and not selectors box. She wrote:

“The latest version of these ill-intended lies is that I was being served tea by selectors at matches during the World Cup! I came to one game during the World Cup and sat in the family box and not the selector’s box as reported but when has the truth mattered when it’s about convenience!”

“If you want to have a comment on the selection committee and their qualifications, please do as so as it’s your opinion but don’t drag my name into it to substantiate your claim or sensationalize your opinion. I refuse to allow anyone from using my name in such conversations.” Anushka Sharma wrote in a lengthy post.

Anushka Sharma also slammed the online trollers and cricket pundits for constantly trolling her for some reason or the other.

However, the long post seems to have made a little difference it seems. While the majority of people appreciated the actress for taking a stand and finally raising the voice, the memers and trollers on the social media were at it again. People trolled her for the long text that she wrote and there were some who trolled her for the way she ended her post by writing ‘I drink coffee’.
