The ODI Rankings doesn’t saw a significant change from previous rankings but it made the top 5 teams close to each other. Any series win can take a team to top spot in ODI rankings.
Australia has been benefitted by their recent performances , both in the Tests and the ODIs. They seem to have come out of the transition phase and are all set to rebuild their dominance in World Cricket.
India has suffered in the rankings , and all because of their dismal performances in the away tours . India will have to sort out their combination and strategy to get to the top of the tables again.
South Africa stands second in the Test table , just few decimals away from Australia’s total . In the ODIs. they have dropped to fifth position.
Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup and it sees them jumping to 3rd position in the ODIs but their Test rankings have nothing significant to show.
West Indies cements it’s 8th position further, with New Zealand extending the gap with some strong recent performances.
