Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya formed a brilliant ninth wicket partnership to help India reach the 600 runs mark in the first Test of the ongoing three-match series between India and Sri Lanka. While fans were expecting Hardik Pandya to hit some big ones, Mohammed Shami surprised one and all with his clan hitting at Galle.
Shami came in to bat at number 10 and scored 30 quick runs. He batted with a lot of aggression and smashed big sixes in his innings. We know that Shami is capable of score some runs low down the order, but the way he played Rangana Herath came as a bit of surprise of all.
Shami played many good looking strokes but the straight six he smashed off Rangana Herath’s bowling was the most spectacular one. Herath bowled a flighted delivery that was picked brilliantly by Shami and dispatched with all his power over the long off boundary. Watch it here:
