Yuvraj Singh Slams Shahid Afridi For Insulting PM Modi And Breaks His Friendship

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has called out the former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi for his negative remarks on the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. In case you did not know, the Punjabi duo of Yuvraj and Harbhajan Singh had helped Afridi’s foundation in these testing times.

However, the recent video of the Pakistani all-rounder has shocked everyone. Talking about the Kashmir issue, Afridi gave his controversial opinion to garner everyone’s attention on social media.

Here’s how the all-rounder criticized the Indian Prime Minister:

“I am in your beautiful village, I am very delighted. I was planning to visit you all from a long time. The world is currently infected by such a big disease. But the bigger disease is in Modi’s mind. Modi deployed 7 lakh soldiers in Kashmir, same as the total strength of Pakistani forces.”

The all-rounder further claimed that the Indian people residing in Kashmir are favoring the Pakistani army. Former Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir had slammed Afridi for his statements while Harbhajan Singh also clarified that there is no meaning in keeping a friendly relation with the Pakistani player now. Yuvraj took to social media recently and expressed his disappointment on Twitter. The 2011 World Cup-winning player wrote:

“Really disappointed by @SAfridiOfficial ‘s comments on our Hon’b PM @narendramodi ji. As a responsible Indian who has played for the country, I will never accept such words. I made an appeal on your behest for the sake of humanity. But never again. Jai Hind.”

A majority of his fans supported Yuvraj’s statement. However, a few of them told him that he should not have helped Afridi earlier. The Pakistani users echoed Afridi’s words as the social media community of both nations argued a lot in his comments box. Here are some of the top reactions to Yuvraj Singh’s tweet.
