PAK vs IND, Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan and India faced each other in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 round, and the match was much awaited. The magnificent Colombo Cricket Ground served as the backdrop, as cricket fans on both sides held their breath in anticipation.

Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, won the toss, an important decision in any cricket game. Pakistan chose to field first in an effort to exert early pressure on the Indian batting order. Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, India’s opening partnership, walked out to bat under a lot of pressure.

What followed would be unforgettable for any cricket fan in the stands. Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was given the responsibility of opening the bowling. In an intense game of batting against bowling, Afridi put tremendous pressure on Rohit Sharma by bowling five consecutive dot balls.

Rohit, though, who can alter the outcome of a match with a single stroke, showed his true colours on the last ball of the over. Rohit took a full pitch that drifted into his pads and sent it soaring over deep backward square leg and over the boundary ropes for a beautiful six. The spectators cheered, and Rohit’s own team praised his risky stroke play.

There were a few things that made these six noteworthy. When Rohit Sharma struck Shaheen Afridi for a six in the first over of his ODI innings, he became the first batsman to do it. Both Rohit’s quality and the promise of Pakistan’s up-and-coming fast bowler were on display, making for riveting storytelling throughout the remainder of the match.
