After tasting defeat against arch-rivals India in their opener of the tournament, the Pakistan cricket team was defeated by Zimbabwe in a thrilling encounter on Thursday. Zimbabwe shocked Pakistan in a thrilling clash.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe scored 130/8. It was a disappointing performance from the Pakistan batters. Despite having names like Babar Azam, Mohammed Rizwan, and Masood, and a target of just 131 runs on the scoreboard, the Pakistan batters invited pressure on themselves. Masood played brilliantly however he also fell at the wrong time. He top-scored with 44 off 38 balls.

On the other hand, Nawaz down the order did a decent job but when it mattered the most, he also failed. In the end, Pakistan failed to score the three runs required for victory in the last ball of the match.
