Pakistan’s Legend Mohammad Yousuf Picked His Favorite Between Kohli And Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are two of the biggest cricketing superstars to have played for team India. While Sachin is hailed as the ‘God of Cricket’ in India, on the other hand, Virat Kohli is hailed as the modern legend of this game. However, the debate surrounding the comparison between both the cricketers seems to be a never-ending one.

Over the years, several cricketers and former players have given their opinion on the debate. The latest one to join the debate is none other than former Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf.

Mohammad Yousuf, who has played a lot of cricket against Sachin Tendulkar, rated both the stars of Indian cricket. While he heaped praises on Virat Kohli, Yousuf feels that Sachin Tendulkar belongs to a different class altogether. He also stressed the fact that the era Sachin played in and the bowlers he played against. He said:

“He (Kohli) has done it and no matter how much we praise him it’s less. But at same time, I think there is no comparison between Virat and Sachin. Tendulkar was a different class altogether. He scored 100 international hundreds and keep in mind the era he played in and the bowlers he played against,”

However, having said that, Yousuf heaped praises on the Indian skipper and expressed his admiration for him. He said that Virat is at a stage where he can go to achieve more greatness in his career. He said:

“Kohli is only 32 and this is the age at which top batsmen hit prime and it is only a matter of time before he starts getting hundreds again. To achieve what he has already achieved is formidable and to me, scoring 70 Test and One-day International hundreds (by Kohli) is extreme,”
