Paresh Rawal Slammed Third Umpire After Virat Kohli’s Controversial Dismissal

Virat Kohli, who was rested for the 3 T20I series and the first Test match against New Zealand, returned to the Indian set-up for the second test match. However, he made a forgettable comeback against the Kiwis as he fell for a four-ball duck. However, the dismissal has created a controversy.

The dismissal took place in the 30th innings of the Indian innings when Kohli was dismissed after being struck on the pads by Ajaz Patel. Virat went for a review, however, to his dismay the third umpire didn’t find enough evidence to overturn the call of the on-field duck. But the Indian skipper seemed to suggest that he had edged the ball.

Disappointed with the results, Paresh Rawal took to his social media and lashed out at the third-umpire for the goof-up. He wrote:

“Is it third umpire or third class umpiring.?”

Here, check out the Tweet:

A frustrated Virat Kohli had a brief chat with the other on-field umpire Nitin Menon before leaving the field. “The TV umpire has to find conclusive evidence to overturn the decision of the on-field umpire. There was no conclusive evidence that the ball hit the pad first. So, I think the process was followed. The process was right,” Doull had said while commentating the game on Star Sports.
