On the first day of the Test match between Australia and Pakistan, a Pat Cummins delivery has left everyone stunned. Though Pat Cummins got a crucial breakthrough for Australia when he got the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan. However, controversy erupted as replays suggested that Cummins had overstepped while bowling.
Everyone including the fans and commentators were left stunned as even after watching the replays, the third umpire, Michael Gough, decided it was a no-ball. Although, it looked like Cummins’ foot was on the line and not behind it.
The video of the same has been making rounds on social media, leaving every shocked. Fans and legends can’t stop raising questions on the same. Here, watch the video:
It doesn’t come any closer than that!
This was judged a legal delivery! #closematters@Gillette | #AUSvPAK pic.twitter.com/Dtl2fCo2if

In disbelief, Allan Donald, the legendary South African tweeted:

Adam Gilchrist also talked about this, he said:
“Some part of your foot must land behind the line. You can clearly see there, as the rubber has landed, it’s all in the white zone. The white zone is owed to the batsman. The batsman owns that. Anything behind is the bowler. To me, that is an illegal delivery.”
He also tweeted a picture of Brett Lee mocking the ‘no-ball’ controversy. He wrote:
Even though he’s a fast bowler, @BrettLee_58 says nothing behind the line. #AUSvPAK @FoxCricket pic.twitter.com/wCcF21KN4N

Talking about the controversial delivery, Brett Lee said:
“That is a no-ball. I can’t see anything behind the line, as much as I want to from an Australian point of view. I can clearly see there’s nothing behind the line. It looks like there’s half an inch.”
Shane Warne also expressed his thoughts on the same, he said:
“If I was Pakistan I would be disappointed with that decision because I thought there was clearly no part Pat Cummins’ foot behind the backline. So I thought it was a no ball. I don’t think there was any doubt whatsoever. Talked about inconclusive and all that sort of garbage, it’s pretty simple for me. There was nothing behind the line. I’m feeling for Pakistan there, I think they were robbed.”
Here, have a look at the reaction of other twitterati on this:

NO BALL. @ICC ?
— Daniel Alexander (@daniel86cricket) November 21, 2019
No ball every day of the week. Umpiring quality is really bad at the moment. Past week we’ve had the no ball not given in the WBBL, an edge to 2nd slip not given in the SS, an obvious bump ball not given in the SS. Now they can’t get it right on replay. Won’t hear about it though

That tv umpire must be suspended and his bank records checked? Honest mistake? Ok u human – but you’re suspended until proven you are up to the task again. Other alternative…..??
