The entire cricket fraternity is in awe of Rishabh Pant, who gave a fantastic performance on day 2 of the 4th Test match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pant not just stole the show with his stunning performance with the bat but also put the host back in the driver’s seat to dominate the game.

After India lost three wickets early in the game, it seemed like England had an upper hand in the ongoing game, however, Washington Sundar and Rishabh Pant joined hands to turn the tables for team India. Rishabh Pant impressed one and all with his knock of 101 runs off just 118 balls as he smashed the ball all around the ground.

The 23-year-old Indian all-rounder displayed tremendous tenacity as he knocked the ball out of the park, reverse-scooping Jimmy Anderson with the new ball.

Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with reactions from Twitterati on the amazing performance of the young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman. From cricketers, cricket experts to fans, the entire cricket fraternity applauded the performance of Pant.

I don’t think anyone has had the skill audacity to do that to Jimmy Anderson (in a Test) before #INDvENG #astonishing pic.twitter.com/T3snjDstW5

Among many, a popular cricket journalist, Sam Landsberger took to his Twitter and penned down a beautiful tweet dedicated to Rishabh Pant.

In his tweet, he wrote how Rishabh’s father bought him a $250 bat when he was eight and expressed how the money was well spent, hinting towards the performance of Pant on Day 2. Sam wrote:

“Rishabh Pant’s father bought him a $250 bat when he was eight. His mother wasn’t too happy at the hole it put in the family’s savings, as they shared one room in Roorkee. Fast forward 15 years and Rishabh is reversing Jimmy Anderson with the new ball. Money well spent. #INDvENG“
