Prasidh Krishna Revealed The Biggest Lesson Virat Kohli Taught Him

Young Indian cricketer Prasidh Krishna recently impressed one and all with his performance in his debut match for India in ODI cricket against England. He returned with the figures of 4/54 in his first match and recorded the best-ever figures for an Indian bowler on his ODI debut.

Last night, Prasidh was seen in action when Kolkata Knight Riders took on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening fixture of the edition. He picked two crucial wickets for KKR and helped his team win the game.

Ahead of the game, in an interview, Prasidh revealed the lesson he learned from the Indian skipper. In the interview, Krishna revealed that the Indian skipper taught him to play on the front foot and remain positive even during adverse situations. He revealed:

“At the beginning of the match where I made my debut, there was a bit of pressure situation. But Virat and the other seniors told me to always be on the front foot, and it worked well. We made a comeback, and we won. So yes, that’s one lesson I have learned – about being positive no matter what the situation is.”

The Karnataka pacer was initially picked as a net bowler by KKR in the year 2018. However, following a few days, the franchise offered to sign Krishna as they were impressed with his line and length in practice sessions.

During his debut campaign for KKR in the year 2018, Prasidh picked 10 wickets in 7 matches at an economy of 9.28. However, in IPL 2020, the fast bowler didn’t have the memorable outing
