There Was A Huge War Of Words Between Preity Zinta And Sehwag Over Ashwin: Under the leadership of their skipper, R.Ashwin, the team Kings XI Punjab has stunned everyone with their performance this year. The team is currently sitting at the third position in the tables with 12 points. The team has lost 4 off 10 matches they have played till now.

In the last match that the team played against Rajasthan Royals, they failed to chase the target of 158 runs and lost the match with 15 runs. However, what surprised everyone was the R.Ashwin’s promotion at number 3.

In that match, R.Ashwin played at number 3 and was dismissed for a second-ball duck. According to some sources, Preity Zinta got involved in the war of words with Virender Sehwag even before all the players reached the dressing room. A source revealed the leading media:
“Against Rajasthan Royals, skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was sent in at number three, ahead of more accomplished batsmen such as Karun Nair and Manoj Tiwari. The move backfired as Ashwin fell for a duck, and Preity launched into Sehwag for the decision,”

The source added:
“However, when Preity continued to blame him, saying ‘unnecessary’ tinkering with the playing XI had led to a spate of defeats, as Sehwag tried to reason with her.”

Virender Sehwag is the director of Cricket Operations for Punjab. He played very crucial role in the auctions this year for Punjab and has been standing like a pillar of strength for the players. While his decision of buying Chris Gayle turned out to be a masterstroke, on the other hand, promoting R.Ashwin to number 3 turned out to be a big flop.
Kings XI Punjab will be next seen playing against Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow.
