Young Indian cricketer, Prithvi Shaw went live on Tuesday, with his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals, where he talked about many things related to cricket. During the live session, Prithvi revealed the piece of advice Sachin Tendulkar gave him. He revealed:

“I am bottom-hand player and Sachin sir had asked me not to change my grip. I was young and I used to change my grip as per coaches’ advice. But after Sachin sir told me, I did not change my grip.”

Prithvi Shaw, who became the youngest cricketer to score a century on Duleep Trophy debut, in 2017, breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar, is often compared to Sachin Tendulkar. During the live session, Prithvi Shaw also opened up about the comparison fans draw between him and Sachin Tendulkar. Calling Sachin Tendulkar ‘God Of Cricket’, Prithvi said that he is his role-model. He said:

“There is pressure when people compare me to him. But I take it as a challenge. I try to play like him. He is the God of cricket.”

Talking about the other sports he likes to indulge himself in, he said:

 “I play golf, I like table tennis and also like swimming.”

Prithvi Shaw also opened up about the experience of playing under BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, who was also a mentor for his IPL franchise Delhi Capitals. Talking about the same, he said:

“There have been experiences to be honest and he helped a lot as he knew how to motivate youngsters in the team. It was great.”

Prithvi was also asked to name his favorite opening partner, to which he took the name of Shikhar Dhawan. He said:

 “Shikhar Dhawan because I have opened most with him.”
