Prithvi Shaw Replied To A Fan Who Called Him ‘Best T20 Batter’

India’s young opener Prithvi Shaw stole all the limelight at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) award ceremony and was bestowed with as many as 9 awards. Prithvi has been one of the most consistent performers for the Mumbai cricket team since his debut ever since his debut. He has also got the opportunity to lead the side in Ranji Trophy last year. Under his leadership, Mumbai made it to the final of the premier first-class tournament.

After the award ceremony, Prithvi Shaw took to his social media and shared a picture of himself with all the awards he won that night. Sharing the picture, Prithvi expressed his happiness and wrote: “I just want people to feel like they can achieve something great in their lives. We all go through rough times. You’ve got to believe in yourself. And if you believe, you will achieve it.”

Shaw’s post went viral in no time and was flooded with amazing reactions from the fans. Among many, a user, who seems to be Prithvi’s fan, wrote that he is the “best T20 batsman.” The fans’ comment soon caught the attention of Shaw and the out-of-favor India batsman also responded to it.

Talking about Shaw, though he has been performing consistently in the domestic cricket, however, he has been out of the national side for over a year now. He made his comeback for the Sri Lanka tour in 2021. His white-ball form saw him make a comeback in the Test side as well. 

But the cricketer wasn’t included in the final XI during the England series and following that he is yet to earn a recall. He has been a part of the India A side during this period and played the unofficial ODI series against New Zealand A. Prithvi is currently playing for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy.
