Probable Bowling Unit For India Against England In The Third Test

With murmurs of Jasprit Bumrah probably being rested for the third Test match, India will need some solid back-up in order to accommodate the void. In all likelihood, Mohammed Siraj may make his way back in the team and with Shami injured still, it should be Mukesh Kumar who can keep his place in the side.

There are a lot of permutations and combinations doing the rounds at the moment. More importantly, India’s fast bowling unit may just be a façade to keep England occupied but India’s true weapon for the upcoming Test may also be their spin. The chemistry is what they should be ideally setting their sights upon. Here’s a possible bowling line-up for India against England in the third Test.

#1 Ravichandran Ashwin

Whenever the caravan is in India, Ashwin is quite obviously the bowling spearhead. The off-spinner is an absolute legend and he is someone who always bags the wickets whenever and wherever needed. He may not yet be India’s ace weapon in the series but he would love to be the bowling spearhead for India when it comes to weaving revs around the ball.

#2 Kuldeep Yadav

The Indian chinaman is going to add some critical value to the side. He has been quite a significant asset to the Indian cricket team and he can also hold fort with the bat at one end. If the track starts turning early on, Kuldeep’s unorthodox turn should be Rohit’s go-to weapon.

#3 Mohammed Siraj

Miyan who has been in sensational touch of late can be a commanding weapon in India’s bowling pick. Siraj has been lethal of late and despite slightly silenced numbers against England in the first Test, he showed it before as well that what he is capable of as he laid waste to South Africa in the second Test. Siraj’s latest weapons which comes close to 145 odd clicks also makes life a living nightmare for the batters.

#4 Mukesh Kumar

Judging Kumar with just one performance will be extremely harsh. He made his debut in Test cricket and will be needing his time to prove himself in the toughest format of the game. Test cricket grills you to the utmost and leaves you with your scars on your skin. This is what makes you stronger. And that is exactly why Mukesh should continue to be a part of the side.

#5 Axar Patel

Axar’s inclusion to the side will be an added bowling option for Team India. He is quicker through the air and gets those deliveries to gun through the gates. That is what makes him special, what makes him an unputdownable pick in the Indian side. He is also someone who can conjure important breakthroughs.
