Punjab Kings Skipper KL Rahul Admitted In Hospital Ahead Of The Clash Against DC

Punjab Kings is currently locking its horns against Delhi Capitals in the ongoing game at the Narendra Modi Stadium, however, ahead of the game, Punjab based franchise suffered a big blow as their skipper KL Rahul was hospitalized ahead of the clash.

Punjab Kings took to their official social media and made the announcement where they revealed that the skipper KL Rahul complained of severe abdomen pain and after diagnosis, it was revealed that he has been suffering from acute appendicitis.

Further Punjab Kings revealed that the same will be resolved surgically. The statement by Punjab Kings read:

“KL Rahul complained of a severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to the emergency room for further tests which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures he has been transferred to the hospital for the same,”

Talking about KL Rahul’s performances so far, he is currently the Orange Cap holder in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. In the seven innings he played for Punjab Kings, he amassed 331 runs at an average of 66.20. His best performance came against RCB in the last match, where he smashed 91 runs off 57 balls he played. His knock was laced with seven fours and five sixes.

His batting performances have always played an instrumental role in his side’s standings at the points table. The team is currently placed at the 5th position in the points table.
