R Ashwin Called Out A Sanju Samson Fan For Spreading Fake News On Twitter

A Sanju Samson fan was called out and schooled by senior India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for spreading fake news on Twitter.

A Tweet from a Samson fan, with Twitter handle @CricketWithRosh, went viral on Tuesday in which this fan alleged that R Ashwin said CSK wanted to trade in Samson from Rajasthan Royals to take over the captaincy from MS Dhoni.

This was after the trade of the Gujarat Titans skipper, Hardik Pandya, to Mumbai Indians, Hardik’s first franchise, was announced.

This fan of Sanju Samson spread fake news quoting Ashwin. He added that Ashwin has apparently revealed that Samson was very close to signing for CSK but the alleged deal fell out and Samson rejected CSK’s offer, and that in the future he could come to CSK.

The fan tweeted: ‘Ashwin on his YouTube channel – “Sanju Samson was approached by CSK as a captain which was nearly finalised. But it dint go through Sanju rejected their offer. Theres a definite possibility in future”. #SanjuSamson #IPL2024 #iplauction2024’
