India’s young and talented Deepak Chahar, impressed one and all with his heroics as he played a match-winning knock to help India seal the series with a match to go. Riding on the stellar performance, team India registered a series-clinching three-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
The top-order of the Indian cricket team failed to fire but Deepak Chahar’s stunning performance, helped team India in crossing the finishing line. During his knock as he formed an exceptional partnership of 84-runs with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who also remained unbeaten after scoring 19 runs.
After taking three wickets, Deepak turned out to be the hero of the match with the bat as well. He played a crucial knock of 69 runs, however, his knock came at a time when everything seemed lost. However, Deepak snatched the game from the hands of Sri Lanka.
Apart from Chahar’s stunning display, Suryakumar Yadav also scored a half-century, SKY gave the visitors a glimmer of hope, however, the right-handed batsman was dismissed after scoring his half-century as India got reduced to 160/6.
