Well, India’s talented player Raj Bawa, who recently stole the show with his sensational all-around performance in the 2022 U-19 Cricket World Cup final vs England in Antigua. He played an instrumental role in team India registering their under-19 World Cup title.
With the upcoming IPL 2022 mega-auction just around the corner, Bawa had submitted his name for being auctioned off at the mega event, and several franchises would be keen to rope in the youngster in their team.
However, Raj Bawa’s father Sukhwinder Singh Bawa has expressed that neither he nor his son is excited about the upcoming mega-auction and the possibilities of the cricketer making it into one of the 10 franchises.
For the unversed, Raj Bawa’s father Sukhwinder Singh Bawa is a cricket coach by profession and he has trained some of the biggest names of Indian cricket like Yuvraj Singh in the past. Sukhwinder Bawa explained his point by saying that the whole family’s desire was for Raj to play for the Indian cricket team and bring glory to the nation instead of settling for IPL. He said:
“me and my son are not excited for IPL 2022 Mega Auction at all. The desire of me, my family and my son is to play for the country and bring glory”.
Meanwhile, the much-awaited IPL 2022 mega-auction is scheduled to take place on February 12 and 13.
