Rajasthan Royals Get Involve In A Heated Banter With Sunrisers Hyderabad Over Ben Stokes

Recently, England star Ben Stokes raised a lot of eyebrows with his remarks for Australian star David Warner. Ben Stokes, in his new book, claimed that Warner’s sledging motivated him during his memorable Headingley innings in the third Ashes Test this year, where he remained unbeaten at 135.

Talking about the same incident in his book, Ben Stokes wrote:

“He just wouldn’t shut up for most of my time out there,”

He added:

“I had extra personal motivation due to some things that were said to me out on the field on the evening of day three when I was trying to get through to stumps,”

Remarks made by Ben Stokes in his new book for David Warner saw IPL teams Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad engaging themselves in a heated banter on twitter. Well, the banter started when Rajasthan Royals took to their twitter and wrote about Ben Stokes’ book with a collage of David Warner and Ben Stokes images. They tweeted:

“@benstokes38’s book should be an interesting read…… ?” before adding: “Can’t wait to read the book @benstokes38! ??Ordered your copy yet, @SunRisers? ?”

Sunrisers Hyderabad were not in a mood to hold it back and they hit back at Rajasthan Royals for their tweet. They reminded Royals of Warner’s brilliant record in IPL. They wrote:

Why don’t you gift it to @davidwarner31 when he gets his 4th orange cap in #IPL2020″

The Rajasthan Royals then extended the conversation by cheekily stating that they would request Stuart Broad to put himself in the auction. They wrote:

Quickly asking @StuartBroad8 to put himself in the auction ? #IPL2020 | #Hallabol”

They tweeted:

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad had the last laugh as they posted a photo of their former player Yuvraj Singh, stating that Royals are forgetting about him. They reminded Rajasthan Royals of the 6 sixes hit by Yuvraj Singh in the 2007 T20 World Cup. They wrote:

“We think you’re forgetting someone else who could be in the auction…”

But Rajasthan Royals gave absolutely sad news by reminding us of Yuvraj Singh taking retirement from IPL. They wrote:

Ummm, this absolute legend of the game has retired from the IPL. For more news, check out @ESPNcricinfo?”

However, Sunrisers were in no mood to back off. They came back with a hilarious tweet and posted the score table of the franchises were Sunrisers were 3 points above Rajasthan Royals.

Legends can always come out of retirement. Anyway, we checked
@ESPNcricinfo and this is what we found ? Hope to continue this banter on field #IPL2020, Good Luck!”
