Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad both the teams played their first match against each other on Monday at the Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Ground. It was a way too easy win for Sunrisers Hydrabad today over the Rajasthan Royals in their first game of the season.
The match started with a huge blow for the fans of RR as thier opener D Arcy Short getting dismissed in the very first over of the game and soon after that, Sidharth Kaul took the big wicket of the captain of Rajasthan Royals, Ajinkya Rahane.
Shikhar Dhawan, from Sunrisers Hyderabad remained unbeaten and managed to score 77 runs in 57 balls, which included 13 fours and 1 six with the strike rate of 135. Meanwhile, Williamson remained unbeaten on 36 (35) at the other end.
However, during the match when Rajasthan Royals were bowling, something shocking happened but no one, including the umpires, failed to notice. Something that had never happened in IPL before.
While the ace bowler of Australian cricket team, Ben Laughlin was delivering the 12th over of the innings, he delivered 7 balls instead of 6.
As Shikhar Dhawan smashed another 4 in the last ball of the 12th over and the strike was about to be changed but the umpire stopped him and the bowler delivered another ball. All the commentators were shocked after watching this.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match over Rajasthan Royals with 9 wickets. Yes, it was one hell of a victory but still no one noticed this mistake that happened for the first time in IPL.
