Two Strongest And Weakest Players Of Rajasthan Royals For IPL 2020

Rajasthan Royals IPL 2020: Right since the opening edition of IPL, Rajasthan Royals have managed to come up trumps in just one edition of the tournament and that was the opener. That season saw them excelling in all departments of the sport and honestly, T-20 cricket was still in its nascent stage and didn’t really get the establishment that it has today.

Despite signing the best of foreigners every year, the team lacked depth and failed to strike the right combination that would have given them a heads up for the league of elites. Honestly, the jersey itself of the franchise seems to be cursed, as no matter how good of players have managed to don it on, things did not turn out great for them, spanning from Ben Stokes to David Miller, it seems that as soon as they are in that franchise, they hit an unforeseen snag, which is completely inexplicable.

We will look at two of the strongest and weakest players in the Rajasthan Royals squad who will have the eyes fixed on them.

Rajasthan Royals’ Strongest:

Jos Butler and Jofra Archer

Butler is in red-hot form both with the bat and with the gloves. Right since cricket has resumed the English wicketkeeper has shown extraordinary class to come out on the top of English batting. Wondrous scores that read 24, 35, 40, and 67 against West Indies are a burning testimony of Butler’s brilliance. Barring the last game against Australia where he was dismissed for 1, his scores against Australia and Pakistan read 75, a rollicking 152, 44, and an unbeaten 77. He will be stepping into IPL with a form that will stoke the hopes for the Royals.

Another Englishman, fast bowler, Jofra Archer, has been breathing fire with the brutal pace emanated by him. However, he hasn’t really been in the thick of wickets as his best in the last few games was 3 for 57 against Australia and a 3 for 45 against West Indies. Though he will have a lot to work on, the pitches of UAE will be pretty conducive for Archer to carry on with his onslaught. Even if he is not picking up scalps, he will definitely be an intimidating mean-machine to watch out for.

Weakest:

Riyan Parag and Mahipal Lomror

The youngster gave a glimpse of his batting finesse when he struck that wonderful half-century against Delhi Capitals, being the lone warrior on that day. The youngster has a lot of juice up his arms and gets himself placed accordingly to milk the most out of a delivery. However, the pitches are going to be trickier in UAE and it will need a very wary approach from the batsmen who depends on slogging. Most of the sixes struck by Parag had a fair trace of a slog in them. This makes him a weak link in the side unless he learns to come on top of the ball to consign them to the stands.

Though Lomror is touted to be a big name for a youngster in IPL, his figures aren’t really impressive, and honestly, to sustain himself he will have to put in a lot more diligence that can see him climbing the rungs of the ladder in a better way. Though he is good, the Royals have always fallen behind because of just being good. It will need excellence to replicate their feats in the opening edition of the tournament.
