The Rajasthan Royals Twitter admin took a hilarious dig at the Lucknow Super Giants after the new franchise bought the duo of Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya at the IPL 2022 mega-auction on Saturday.
The Sanjiv Goenka owned franchise gained the services of the two all-rounders – Hooda, who made his India ODI debut against West Indies, was bought for 5.75 crore while Krunal Pandya, who was released from Mumbai Indians, was roped in for 8.25 crore.
This created a meme fest on the internet, and the Rajasthan Royals admin, known for their funny tweets, also chimed in. For the unversed, Krunal and Hooda have a serious history between them. The players had a fall-out when they were part of the Baroda team ahead of the 2021 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Hooda has alleged Pandya of using “abusive language” and for his “dadagiri (bullying)” during the practice camp and stormed out of the camp before the tournament. Hooda then quit the Baroda team and shifted his domestic base to Rajasthan.
However, seeing that both Hooda and Krunal have now been drafted in the same team, Lucknow Super Giants, and have to co-operate to win games and the title, netizens had a good laugh at this thought.
The RR admin then posted a hilarious meme of Jethalal Gada and Iyer – two characters from the famous show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah who aren’t good friends but live in the same society.

Deepak Hooda made his ODI debut against West Indies; in the two games he played, he scored a calm and composed 26* in a run-chase and then scored 29 and took 1/24 with the ball in the second ODI, helping India to a victory.
Krunal, on the other hand, has lost his place in India’s ODI and T20I teams. But remains an in-demand all-rounder in the IPL.
