WTC Final: India faced yet another heartbreak in the ICC knockout clash as the Pat Cummins-led Australian cricket team thrashed India in the World Test Championship final. The mighty Australians defeated team India in the summit clash at the Oval and wrapped the contest on the final day of the match.

Team India’s Wait Continues For An ICC Trophy

The Virat Kohli-starrer side suffered a shocking batting collapse on the final day of the WTC Final 2023 as the Aussies bowled out Rohit and Co. for 234 in the 2nd innings to lift the famous trophy.

Team India was seen struggling throughout the game. They were outblown by Aussies right from day one in all the departments of the game.

With this defeat, team India extended their trophy drought in the ICC events on Sunday. This was India’s second attempt to win the World Test Championship Final, the first attempt under Rohit Sharma‘s captaincy, however, they failed miserably.

On the other hand, this was Australia’s first attempt at the WTC Final and they have won their maiden title. With this, Australia has become the first team in cricket history to win all ICC titles (ODI and T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy, and WTC Final).

Rajasthan Royals Wrote A Beautiful Message For Fans

Meanwhile, as fans on social media were left heartbroken after the defeat, IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals via their official Twitter handle penned a beautiful message for the Indian cricket fans.

In their tweet, RR wrote how when the anger will settle down and the tears will fade away, fans will start to realize what team India has achieved in the past 4 years. Rajasthan Royals wrote:

“When the anger settles down and the tears fade away, you’ll start to realise what this team has achieved in the past 4 years.
Wins across the globe, against the best. 2 WTC finals. Dominance.
So, when the anger settles down & the tears fade away, it will come home. One day. 🇮🇳❤️”
