Rashid Khan Joins A New Team, Shares The Good News With The Fans

Rashid Khan had a glorious start to this year thus far. He gave an impressive performance in the season 11 of Indian Premiere League, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has been giving amazing performances for his National cricket team as well in the various leagues and tournaments.

Rashid Khan has weaved his magic across the globe and has impressed one and all with his performance. As his career has progressed, he has been a part of number of teams and has created a space for himself with his strong bowling skills.

Rashid will now be seen playing for Maratha Arabians in the second edition of the upcoming T10 league. He was picked at a mini-draft in Dubai on Monday.

Talking about the team, Maratha Arabians were knocked out in the first edition after they lost the semi-finale to Kerala Kings in Sharjah. Maratha Arabians is owned by the Bollywood producer/actor, Sohail Khan alongwith Parvez Khan of Pacific Ventures and Ali Tumbi of Aqua Properties. Wasim akram, the former bowler of Pakistani cricket team is the coach of Maratha Arabians.

After being roped in by the owners, Rashid Khan expressed his delight. Talking to a leading media, he said :

“I am extremely excited to be playing for Maratha Arabians in the second season of the T10 League.  After having played Twenty20 cricket all over the world, I was looking forward to a challenge. Playing the T10 format is the perfect step up for me. I am looking forward to playing the world’s shortest format alongside some iconic players,”

Parvez Khan, the co-owner of Maratha Arabians was also excited and looked confident after signing the deal with Rashid Khan. Talking about the same, he said :

“It is with great joy that we welcome Rashid Khan and James Faulkner to Maratha Arabians. Rashid is the youngest player to top the ICC Player Rankings for Bowlers in ODIs. I believe that Rashid will be a great asset to the team and we will have an extremely strong bowling attack,”

Apart from him, the team has also retained Dwayne Bravo, the all-rounder player of West Indies, Kamran Akmal , the wicket-keeper of Pakistani Cricket Teamand Alex Hales, the right-handed batsman from England. James Faulkner, the all-rounder Australian cricketer is the new pick in the team.
