Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the previous match it played against Mumbai Indians, who won their first match of the league and that too with a huge margin of 46 runs.
The win became even more special for Mumbai Indians as the team played on the home ground at very famous Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai. The team was in a very bad need to win the match as they had lost all the previous matches.
In the first league, it was the captain of Rohit Sharma who gave a thrilling performance and scored 94 runs in 54 balls with the strike rate of 180.He smashed 10 fours and 5 sixes. All the players of Mumbai Indians did well and gave the target of of 213 runs to RCB.
However, the players of Royal Challengers Bangalore failed to perform well in the second innings. It was only the captain of RCB, Virat Kohli who gave an exceptional performance and scored 92 runs in 62 balls. He smashed 7 fours and 4 sixes.
Everyone felt bad for Virat as he was the only one fighting to win the match for his team. It is very heartbreaking to see a player as good as Virat Kohli loosing the match, even after scoring some great numbers.
Virat’s fans flooded the social networking sites with love and appreciation for the performance given by him. Many Bollywood celebrities and cricketers took to twitter and shared messages for Virat.
Bollywood diva, Raveena Tandon also took to twitter and shared a heartfelt message for Virat Kohli. In her tweet, she called Virat Kohli as ‘lone warrior’ in the match. Her tweet expressed the same thoughts that were going on in everyone’s mind.
