Ravi Ashwin Promises To Shave Half His Moustache If Pujara Completes This Open Challenge: After defeating Australians in their own fortress, the Indian cricket team is looking forward to hosting England for a 4-match Test series at home, which will kickstart from February 5 in Chennai.

However, ahead of the much-awaited series Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin has given an open challenge to his teammate Cheteshwar Pujara and has even claimed that he will shave half his moustache and come out to play if Pujara completes the challenge.

Well, it all started after Ashwin asked the batting coach “Will we ever see Pujara hit an off-spinner over the top?”

Responding to this, batting coach said: “Work-in-progress. I’m trying to convince him that at least once go over the top. He is still not convinced, He is giving me great reasons,”

“If he goes over the top against Moeen Ali or any other spinner stepping down the wicket in this English series that we gonna play, I will take half my mustache out and come to play the game. This is an open challenge,” Ashwin said jokingly.

To this, Rathour said: “That’s a great challenge to put across. Let’s hope that he takes it up. I don’t think he will take it up,”

Talking about Cheteshwar Pujara, the cricketer has been receiving praises from all corners because of his heroics in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. His determination and grit in the final Test match impressed one and all as he stood tall even after receiving numerous body blows.

He was hit on his chest, shoulders, helmet, fingers and head, however, he didn’t flinch. He stood tall, defying the Australian bowlers, who were desperately looking for one opportunity to break him.
