The floods in Chennai have taken hundreds of lives and been wreaking havoc on the lives of residents and those stuck in the city.Aware of the horrible situation in Chennai, Indian ace-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin had his own battle to fight, and not just on the cricket field. As Indian cricket team began the fourth and final Test of the ongoing series against South Africa, Ravichandran Ashwin had no idea about the whereabouts of his parents and he could not establish any contact with them in Chennai.
As Ravichandran Ashwin came out to bat on day 2, his wife, Prithi Ashwin, put out a tweet in support of her husband’s courage, praying for his strength.
