Ravi Shastri Expressed Gratitude After Getting First Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine: On Monday, the public rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagging off the nationwide rollout of the vaccine by getting vaccinated himself at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi. The vaccination drive has entered its second phase and people in the age group of 45-59 years are eligible for the vaccine

The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri, received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Ravi Shastri, who is currently in Ahmedabad for the ongoing 4-match Test series against England, took to his Twitter and shared a picture of himself getting vaccinated.

In his tweet, Ravi Shastri thanked the medical professionals and scientists for empowering India. He also showed gratitude towards his doctor and her team. He wrote:

“Got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you to the amazing medical professionals & scientists for empowering India against the pandemic.
Extremely impressed with the professionalism shown by Kantaben & her team at Apollo, Ahmedabad in dealing with COVID-19 vaccination”

Talking about Ravi Shastri, he is currently in Ahmedabad with team India monitoring the preparation of the team for the upcoming fourth and the last Test match against England. Following this, team India is scheduled to play 5 T20Is at the same venue later in Ahmedabad before flying to Pune for 3 ODIs.

After defeating Australia by 2-1, team India is on the verge of sealing another Test series. India only needs a win or a draw to secure their spot in the inaugural World Test Championship final.
