Ravichandran Ashwin Gave A Fitting Reply To His Critics

Ravichandran Ashwin has completely changed the complexion of the second Test match at Chepauk as he managed to leave the English bowlers rattled with some stellar bowling.

However, en route to glory, he started ticking a few boxes out of which the most prominent one was him surpassing Harbhajan. Cleaving to his traditional deference, Ash put on his smiling face and underlined himself as the best off-spinner of India.

In an interview with ESPNCricinfo, he summed up that why bowling spin is a lot more challenging task than bowling pace.

He cited, “The only comparison I can say is if the ball is moving around 145-150 clicks off the deck, that has to be more challenging than somebody bowling at 85-90. Clearly, the challenges are way greater when you come against seam. Just the same way when you come up against spin, you have to give it to the bowler, bide in your time and then cash in a little later. It is another art. As simple as that.

The English batters were barely able to keep themselves in a piece and the way, Ashwin  surged through the English batting line-up was a delight to watch.

He was also phenomenal at Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney against Australia that included a heroic showdown with an injured rib and back.

Not only has he impressed with the cherry in the hand but his willow has also done a fair bit of talking too as he is slowing stuttering to his century in the second innings.
