Two Strongest And Weakest Players Of RCB In IPL 2020

RCB In IPL 2020: With the Indian Premier League closing on to us and has just six days remaining, Royal Challengers Bangalore will love to make a few things right that they have been lacking since the tournament’s inception. Despite coming close to the trophy a couple of times, they failed to cross the finishing line and carried on with their chokers’ tag.

One of the major problems of RCB has always been the lack of balance between their batting and bowling. Also, the team has always failed to garner collective brilliance that could have propelled them to the crown. It has mostly been a one-man show and whenever they have come close enough to the silverware, either they have suffered an injury or they had their chinks exposed.

We will look at two strongest and two weakest players of the sides before the team takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their season opener on the 21st of September.

Strongest:

Virat Kohli and Abraham Benjamin De Villiers

Two Strongest And Weakest Players Of RCB In IPL 2020

If there has been one man on whom RCB has been solely reliable with their eyes closed, that is the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. A relentless run-machine who could score at a brisk pace before exploding in the middle, exuding splinters of cricketing brilliance through those exquisite strokes and rollicking smacks. He is also one of the best fielders of the squad and his leadership prowess sets him apart on a different pedestal that has seen him excelling beyond an impeccable benchmark which is being set by himself in every single edition of the fray.

Needless to say, De Villiers can rattle the bowlers black and blue once he gets going. He is an extremely hard-hitter of the ball and can dispatch anything coming at him, irrespective of the source, to the stands. He is also capable of single-handedly changing the complexion of the game once he gets going and if he stays until the end, he is more dangerous than the universe boss, Chris Gayle, thanks to a wide range of shots that he boasts of and a nimble-footwork which makes him the best.

Weakest:

Isuru Udana and Mohammed Siraj

Isuru Udana is an unconventional name when it comes to the fast bowling options, clocking barely at 130 plus. However, he is more reputed for some brilliant lines and lengths that help him set his goal. However, he will have a limited number of chances, given the illustrious bowling that RCB already has. With so much doing rounds in his head, he will have to fit himself in the grind to make things alright, and doing that won’t be easy.

Mohammed Siraj impressed earlier in the Indian Premier League in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. However, his 2019 season went down in flames once he could manage only 7 wickets from 9 games that also saw him conceding at 9.55 runs per over. His stints with India weren’t promising either which makes life tougher for Siraj. He will do good enough to make amends before he is shown the exit.
