RCB vs DC: Virat Kohli Got Trolled On Twitter

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore Virat Kohli was heavily trolled on Saturday after he managed just 12 runs from 14 balls versus Delhi Capitals and got run out for the second time this season.

Earlier, against Rajasthan Royals, he was short of his crease at the non-striker’s end when attempting a quick single. Today, against DC, though he was run out at the striker’s end, it was again while the right-hander attempted to get a rapid single after tapping a length ball from Shardul Thakur towards point.

Virat Kohli too off for his run and non-striker Glenn Maxwell too responded taking three-four steps out of his crease. However, the Australian stopped himself realising Lalit Yadav had sprinted in from point and was near the ball.

Kohli applied his brakes and reverted to the striker’s end in the time Lalit picked up the ball and diving across, with one stump to aim, hit the bulls-eye with a side-arm throw. Initially, though it felt that Kohli had just made it back, however, the replays showed the batsman was just short of his crease and will now have to take the walk back to the dressing room.

Kohli had played one sweetly timed straight drive to Khaleel Ahmed and would have wanted to bat for a much longer period than he did, given that RCB had lost both the openers early on.

But, his 14-ball 12 runs innings, which followed the 3-ball 1-run knock from the previous game against CSK, did get him mercilessly trolled on Twitter. This season now, Kohli has two scores in the 40 while the rest 4 innings have yielded him only 30 runs.

Here are some of the best reactions of netizens to Kohli’s inconsistent form this season:
