RCB vs GT: ‘King’ Virat Kohli Is Back And Fans Can’t Keep Calm

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli finally brought an end to his disastrous run by scoring a gutsy fifty against the fiery bowlers of Gujarat Titans at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday. This was Virat’s first half-century in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League and 43rd fifty in the league.

Virat Kohli, who was going through a rough patch in his career, was enduring a disastrous run in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Previous to this game, Kohli had recorded scores of 0,0 and 9 but the batter finally showed his class against Gujarat Titans.

The fifty also came at a crucial time as the team had lost its skipper Faf du Plessis early in the game. Virat Kohli joined hands with youngster Rajat Patidar and took on the responsibility to build their innings. The duo ended up putting together a 99-run partnership. While Patidar showcased the dominant force, by scoring 52 off just 32 balls, on the other hand, an under-confident Kohli took his time to settle on the pitch.

The former RCB skipper completed his half-century in 45 deliveries. Virat was dismissed by Mohammed Shami soon after he scored his fifty. He had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring just 58 runs off 53 balls, including 6 fours and a stunning six.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were left in awe of King Kohli as they hailed him for getting back in form after going through one of the worst patches in his career. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone came up with amazing tweets while lauding the performance of Virat.
