RCB vs KKR: Playing XI And Impact Player List Of Both The Teams

RCB vs KKR: Royal Challengers Bangalore is all set to host the Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The last time when both sides met, RCB was thrashed by KKR by 81 runs at Eden Gardens.

The Nitish Rana-led side is coming into this game, after suffering a 49-run loss against Chennai Super Kings. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be riding high on confidence as they are coming into this game with two back-to-back wins. RCB defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 runs in their previous match.

RCB Won The Toss And Opted To Bowl First

RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first. Virat was quite optimistic that they can chase any target on the surface. He said:

“Decided to bowl first. No brainer. Evening game at Chinnaswamy, we’ve chased well here. It was unexpected but nothing I’m not used to (stand-in captaincy). It’s been fun so far because of the way the team has been playing. Faf will be playing the impact role again. Hopefully he’ll be back leading from the next game. Looks like a great pitch, the usual Chinnaswamy pitch that we expect,”

KKR captain Nitish Rana said that this is an important match for the team. He pointed out that the side needs to play collectively well. He said:

“Second half of the tournament has started, it’s an important game. We’ve played some good cricket, some not so good. It’s time to step up. If we play well collectively, the result will be in our favour. In previous games, we’ve had unforced changes. Shardul had a niggle, Gurbaz had a niggle. We were going to bat. One change from the last match – Vaibhav Arora comes in for Kulwant,”
