RCB’s Tweet On Glenn Maxwell Dedicating Century To Son Logan Has Gone Viral

Glenn Maxwell obliterated the Netherlands bowlers on Wednesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The ‘Big Show’ Glenn Maxwell broke the world record for the fastest-ever ODI World Cup century: Maxwell reached the century milestone in 40 balls, breaking the record of 49 balls set by Aiden Markram earlier in the World Cup 2023, also in Delhi.

Glenn Maxwell had come in at the 39th over and tore into the Dutch bowlers with a storm. He smoked 9 fours and 8 sixes to complete his dazzling knock on 106 runs in 44 balls. This had a big effect on Australia’s eventual total. Earlier it seemed that Australia would reach a total of around 350 when they were 290/6 in 43 overs, then turned into 399 due to Maxwell’s freak show.

Australia recorded a massive win by 309 runs by bowling Netherlands out for only 90 runs with Adam Zampa taking 4 wickets in the game.

Man of the Match Glenn Maxwell said: I was just trying to give ourselves a good platform at the end. You can certainly cash in on this ground with bat (batting first towards the end) and it seams under lights. Nice to get some rhythm finally in the tournament. Huge confidence booster. Some doubts do creep in when you are consistently not making runs. Hopefully I can ride forward from this. Pretty much the perfect game with bat and ball for us. Three wins now and certainly starting to get that momentum as a team.
