Star India, who are also the sponsors of the Indian cricket team, have roped in India’s limited-overs captain MS Dhoni, India’s Test skipper Virat Kohli and star batsman Ajinkya Rahane, for their latest ad campaign which highlights the role of their mothers in their lives.

Over the years, we have seen cricketers having their father’s name as the middle name, but the ‘Nayi Soch’ campaign by Star India is a step forward towards highlighting the role of mothers. Not many would know about the contributions and sacrifices made by MS Dhoni’s mother Devki Dhoni, Virat Kohli’s mother Saroj Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane’s mother Sujata Rahane which is why this advert is an eye-opener for all of us and delivers a very strong message in a subtle yet impactful manner.

Star India released this campaign on television and also uploaded the videos on Youtube. Watch all three video here:

“Main itne saal se apne pita ka naam pehen raha tha, tab toh aapne nahi poocha – ‘koi khaas rajah?”- MS Dhoni

“Main jitna Kohli hun, utna Saroj bhi hun.” – Virat Kohli

“Log kehte hai, baap na roshan karo. Magar mere liye maa ka naam roshan karna bhi utna hi important hai.” – Ajinkya Rahane
