"Return My Shirt": BFF Shubman Gill Trolls Ishan Kishan On His Latest Insta Picture

Young India players Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan have become close friends and often engage in funny social media banter.

In the latest of their social media repartee, Shubman Gill made a cheeky comment under Kishan’s newest Instagram post, demanding his shirt back!

Both the players are currently in Gqeberha for the 2nd T20I against South Africa on Tuesday. Ishan Kishan posted a picture of himself standing and looking to his left in what is apparently a garden where the team had gone out for dinner. Kishan is wearing a blue check shirt.

Trolling Kishan, Shubman Gill made a hilarious comment, writing: “Bhai shirt toh wapis de deta”

Shubman Gill picked, Ishan Kishan dropped from 2nd T20I vs South Africa

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill has been picked in the 2nd T20I against the Proteas. However, Ishan Kishan has been excluded from the side.

Wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma, who left a positive impression with his intent and lower-order hitting on the management and selectors in his two appearances against Australia, has been named in the playing XI in Gqeberha.

With Yashasvi Jaiswal partnering Gill at the top, with Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma to follow, there was no room for Ishan Kishan. Interestingly Tilak Varma has gotten the nod ahead of Kishan, who hit two half-centuries against Australia, but struggled at the start of both of those knocks.

Gill, on the other hand, will play his first T20I since August. Gill seems to be ahead in the pecking order than Jaiswal and Gaikwad for the opener’s spot.

Teams:

South Africa (Playing XI): Matthew Breetzke, Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram(c), Heinrich Klaasen(w), David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Marco Jansen, Andile Phehlukwayo, Gerald Coetzee, Lizaad Williams, Tabraiz Shamsi

India (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar
