Former Australian captain and one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history, Ricky Ponting, picked his ‘All Time XI’ from his playing days. While Ponting picked 5 Australians, there was only one Indian in his all time XI. Ponting picked Sachin Tendulkar to bat at no. 4 in his all time XI.

In a very interesting move, Ricky Ponting, who is one of the greatest captains in cricket history, picked Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara to captain his all time XI.

Ponting is known for speaking his mind, without mincing his words. During his playing career, Ponting was known as a very aggressive captain and now, after his retirement, he has emerged as a fearless and rational voice in the commentary box.

Here’s Ricky Ponting’s Greatest XI
